Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Russell Hart of Chillicothe, MO has created a hitch receiver that can be rotated parallel to a vehicle body, so you do not smack into it!

Most trailer hitch receivers, when installed in the trailer hitch receiver mount, project outward and away from the hitch receiver, making the hitch ball a tripping hazard. The idea was born after Russell smacked into his receiver one too many times. He just knew there had to be another way. In turn, he was inspired to develop the Shin Saver!

Now, a hitch receiver can be left in the hitch and will simply fold out of the way when not in use. The invention also offers damage protection in case you are backing up to the ball by yourself and overshoot it, which could potentially damage your bumper. Your receiver will always be handy without the bruises!
