Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Jonathan Walker of Anniston, AL has created a tire insert that provides temporary repair until a driver can make it to an air supply or service station.

Having grown up around logging, machinery, and large fleets of vehicles, Jonathan noticed there always seemed to be a flat on one of the vehicles, requiring them to postpone or even stop working. In early November 2019, the tire on his truck picked up a screw one night. Around Thanksgiving, he lost traction and his tires spun on a wet road. After stopping, he heard the dreaded sound of air rushing out of the tire where the screw was located. Jonathan then thought to himself, "If a screw came out, why cant one go back in to seal the air off?" With that idea in mind, he developed the Tire Screw!

The process is fast and easy to follow and is a great temporary solution for those not physically able to replace a tire. Once tire pressure loss has been recognized, a user will locate the puncture area. They will then simply apply tire adhesive glue to the underside of the screw head and twist it into the punctured area until seated firmly and tire pressure loss ceases. When caught in time, the invention will keep the tire inflated at a safe level until it is repaired.
