Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Faye M. Arno of Homer, AK has created a large shop vacuum style device with special enhancements for use in cleaning up yard waste.

Of the many yard chores that people perform, the gathering and disposal of leaves, stones, twigs, pet droppings, and other yard waste is among the most detested. Many automated devices such as yard vacuums, leaf blowers and mulching mowers have been devised to help in this process. However, all of these devices, and even the common rake, still require the user to pick up the items from the lawn surface. The majority of yard waste cleanup is spent gathering and picking up the items. Once gathered and picked up, the rest of the process, such as transfer into bags, relocation to a compost pile, or the like, remains an easy and quick task to perform. Inventor Arno has created a means by which general collection of yard waste can be made easier on an individual.

This clever new invention simplifies and speeds up the leaf collection process. It allows for less muscle strain. There is no need to rake or use any power equipment. Yard waste is never touched by ones hands. The invention is for yards, garages, driveways, sidewalks, porches, decks, and the like. The use of the Yard Debris Vacuum improves yard cleanup and aids in keeping all outside areas looking their best throughout the year.
