Story Behind the Invention

Inventors Althea Wyatt of Middlesboro, KY and Kenneth Sweat of Lafayette, IN have created an innovative new tire releasing implement. Now virtually anyone will be able to fix a flat tire!

Removing a tire can be a difficult, drawn-out process. While tire repair shops have dedicated equipment for this task, many of us would rather deal with the tire ourselves to avoid the cost. However, this means fumbling around with what we have available. Althea and Kenneth just knew there had to be an easier way. In turn, they developed the Tire Release!

The invention assists in removing a tire from a rim after the tire has been removed from the wheel of a vehicle. The implement secures to the wheel so the lower portion can engage a tire and remove the tire from a rim as the vehicle is lowered. The weight of a vehicle safely breaks the bead. Users will find the invention to be fast and foolproof. No longer will a costly trip to a tire shop be required. The device can be used on tires of all sizes. When not in use, it is simply stored in a toolbox until needed again.
