Story Behind the Invention

It is all too often we hear or read about a motor vehicle that travels off of a roadway and ends up submerged in a lake, stream, or pond. Most times such accidents occur from general confusion, poor visibility, and unknown surroundings. Most drivers are awake, not injured, and in control of an operational vehicle when all of a sudden they find themselves in rapidly rising water. However, doors may become stuck, windows may become non-operational and people die quickly even if a rescue team is immediately dispatched due to the simple matter of the vehicle occupants drowning. Accordingly, a need exists for a means by which occupants of a submerged vehicle can be provided with a source of oxygen during an accidental submersion to allow for rescue.

Determined to help save lives inventor, Samuel Poliard of Miami, Fl developed the Oxygen Delivery System For Motor Vehicles when he saw these accidents accruing on the news weekly. This clever innovation is a safety feature by which oxygen is delivered to motor vehicle occupants during accidental water submersion.

This invention delivers oxygen through masks that are automatically or manually regulated. Additionally, the system has pressure sensors which activate oxygen flow and can be installed anywhere in the vehicle. The use of the Oxygen Delivery System for Motor Vehicles provides an increased level of safety for motor vehicles occupants in the event of the typically tragic accidental submersion.
