Story Behind the Invention

Inventors Roger Chisholm, Breanna Chisholm, and Richard Chisholm of Lake Charles, LA have created a smoke, fire, and CO2 detector with activating air horn alarm. Now even the heaviest sleeper will be able to hear the detector and take action.

If you are a heavy sleeper and you are sleeping through your daily alarm, you may also be sleeping through your smoke, fire, or CO2 detector. For heavy sleepers, these alarms simply arent loud enough. This, of course, presents a major safety hazard should you sleep through an emergency situation. Roger, Breanna, and Richard just knew there had to be a better way. In turn, they were inspired to develop the Loudmouth Hillbilly Air Horn Smoke Detector!

The invention will put out around 150 decibels, so it can be heard through a wall or door. It may also be heard outside the home for first responders. The detector is simply hardwired into a regular 110 house current. It is also able to work off a 9-volt battery, for ease of operation.
