Inventors Matthew D. Race and John M. Wolverton of Cincinnati, OH have designed a fire sprinkler assembly hose which routes water away from malfunctioning sprinkler heads.

As any property owner will attest, security and peace of mind are of the utmost importance. One disaster that strikes fear into everyone is that of a possible fire. While there are many devices and procedures that can be put in place to prevent and detect fires, there is really only one that helps to automatically fight fires - the automatic sprinkler system. These systems automatically spray water into a space where there is an active fire. It should be noted, however, that the fire sprinkler head can be subject to leaking or malfunctioning. When this happens, water can leak onto the contents of the building below. This obviously results in water damage. Inventors Race and Wolverton have created a means by which a leaking or malfunctioning fire sprinkler head can be safely controlled in a manner which allows the remainder of the system to remain in service until repairs can be made.

This clever new invention allows for continued operation of all other working sprinklers. It easily attaches by a clip mechanism or magnet, and drains water in a controlled manner.
