Combination Oil and LED Lamp Holder

Inventor Vance Cortez-Rucker of Kountze, TX has created an apparatus which combines the emergency lighting functionality of an LED flashlight with that of an oil powered lamp.

One of the first objects that people grab during a power outage is a flashlight or other type of emergency light. Emergency LED portable lamps illuminate automatically in the event of a power failure. While these devices eliminate stumbling around in the dark, they produce a very harsh light in which many find difficult to use. Additionally, the batteries in these units are typically of a small size, and provide a limited amount of illumination before needing to be recharged. Others use oil lamps which require no batteries at all, and also produce a warm, golden glow. Unfortunately, these types of lamps require manual lighting during a power failure, and are nearly impossible to light while in complete darkness. Inventor Cortez-Rucker has created a means of combining both emergency light and oil lamp.

This clever new invention provides personal lighting during power failures. It uses LED lights and an oil lamp. This provides instantaneous light as well as long term emergency light. It increases safety and security. It can also be used for ambient lighting. The use of the Combination Oil and LED Lamp Holder allows for improved emergency lighting, which is not only quick, easy and effective, but also safe and asthetically pleasing as well.
