Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Michael S. Beltrami of Kingston, ON has created a specialized refrigerator mounted holding compartment for individually packaged cheese slices.

A wide variety of cheese products are sold via individually wrapped slices. Slices save time, preserve freshness, reduce the use of sharp knives, and ensure that the cheese can be easily packaged for lunches or travel. These cheese slices are then packaged into larger plastic sleeve-like containers for sale to consumers. However, once the outer container or sleeve is opened, it becomes difficult to store the individual slices. Many people place the wrapped cheese slices in zipper seal bags, hard plastic storage containers with lids, or in the butter compartment of a fridge. This defeats the time and convenience that individually wrapped slices were intended to provide. In turn, Inventor Beltrami created the Cheese Caddy.

This clever new invention holds, organizes, and dispenses individually wrapped cheese slices. It proves easy access to cheese. It frees up space in a refrigerator. The caddy is made of impact resistant and dishwasher safe plastic. It is easy to manufacture. Now users wont have to fumble with drawers, compartments, specialized containers, or plastic bags. The Cheese Caddy provides the ability to not only store, but easily access and use individual cheese slices.
