Story Behind the Invention

Inventor Aglika Stoianova Georgieva has designed a new way for blankets to stay in place throughout the night.

The inspiration came from watching her baby boy on the baby monitor to make sure he wasnt suffocating from the blanket and swaddle he was in. In the past, she had always watched her daughter closely as well. She was born in the winter and Inventor Georgieva never felt her pajamas and swaddle were enough to keep her warm at night in New England. However, she was afraid to put a blanket in the crib since pediatricians warn against it. Other products left the arms uncovered which just seemed cold! Additionally, her husband always manages to kick his blanket away from his chest and often wakes up with sore muscles in his upper torso. All things considered, she knew there had to be another way. In turn, she was inspired to create the Blanket Retention Device!

The product is a long-sleeved shirt with buttons along the upper portion of each sleeve and beneath the front shirt collar. The buttons will fasten to a blanket so it stays in position safely - all night.
