Story Behind the Invention

Inventor J. Michael Googe of Cedartown, GA has created a dual-faced refrigerant gauge that will lessen the number of gauges a technician must carry around, as well as provide for simpler diagnostics and repair.

With EPA regulations phasing out some refrigerants, many new refrigerants have been introduced in HVAC and refrigeration systems. Since there are many types of freon in the industry now, technicians must carry around several freon gauge sets or they must purchase expensive, complicated battery-powered gauge sets in order to troubleshoot. This is because most gauge sets can only accommodate 3-4 different types of refrigerant due to space limitations on the face of the gauge. Googe just knew there had to be a better way. In turn, he created the Double Header Gauge!

The invention is a dual-faced analog-style refrigerant gauge with multiple scales to accommodate up to 8 different types of refrigerant!
